So here were the Dems chatting it up last night:

Oh sure, you still need to wear a mask when told, little citizen, but it's okay for the most powerful people in the country to do what they want when they want.

From Newsweek:

"Pelosi was filmed Thursday walking through the crowded East Room of the White House as she hugged and interacted with other lawmakers and officials in attendance as President Joe Biden signed the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act—which aims to address hate crimes targeting Asian and Pacific Islander Americans. Meanwhile, Republicans have already strongly criticized Pelosi for refusing to lift the House's masking requirements despite the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention significantly rolling back federal mask guidance last week."

It's worth noting that Pelosi has been fining GOP members the past week for breaking her masks-at-all-times rules in the House chamber.

Meanwhile, here's Nancy hugging it up:

This party isn't on the House floor, but think about the theatrical absurdity in play here.

Inside the massive House chamber where everyone is spread out, representatives actively take turns making speeches and debating other members.

It's in this venue that Pelosi requires masks at all times unless someone is speaking.

Meanwhile, at a private social event where politicians are conversing in close proximity, there's not a mask to be seen.

Do you need more evidence that politicians like Pelosi think of masks as political weapons?
