Nothing says "Diversity is our strength" more clearly than sacrificing the physical strength of police officers to gain diversity points.
And that's exactly what the Nashville, TN, police force has decided to do. They've dropped their physical fitness requirements so that more women might join the squad.
The department has also offered other female-friendly amenities like having lactation rooms at the office.
(Because when I have to call the cops because my life is in danger, there's no one I'd rather have show up than a nursing mother who's too out of shape to do a pull-up.)
Commander Tiffany Gibson is Metro's first female director of training. She says, among the biggest changes they've made to help attract recruits, especially women: no more physical abilities tests!
This is in a puff piece! They're bragging about it on the news!
