Let's see here, Russia and Ukraine are locked in a territorial conflict, Ukraine wants to bring in other nations to fight alongside them which would likely start World War 3, what could we possibly do to make things more precarious with Russia?
Enter Jess Stoltenberg, NATO's Secretary General:
NATO's position is that Ukraine will become a member of the alliance, and that position has not changed.
Yeah, that's not going to continue to fire up Putin and increase tension in the region.
It's just the nation Putin attacked being openly invited into an alliance with 30+ other nations all obliged to return fire against Russia if they attack one member.
Regardless of what you think about the Russian war against Ukraine, this is clearly a bold and dangerous move.
It looks like the memo has gone out: Ramp up the war in Ukraine!
Let's bunker down for WW3.
