One in four American Netflix subscribers plans to cancel their Netflix subscription by the end of 2022, according to Reviews.org, which surveyed 1,000 people in August.

Roughly 30 percent of those planning to cancel cited Netflix's "lack of engaging content" while another 30 percent said they "prefer other streaming services" over Netflix, the Daily Wire reports:

According to the survey, Netflix's basic one-screen plan went up by 11% in January 2022 for the first time in three years, while standard and premium plans increased by 20% and 25% in the same period โ€” making the subscription cost the highest average plan among the top eight streaming service providers in the United States.

Netflix lost 200,000 subscribers between January and March.

The report estimates a $272 million revenue loss for Netflix with 18 million projected to cancel their plan.

The company's quarter 3 financial results are set to release in October.
