It's not every day you see a twister in Florida, but Thursday was one of those days:
A large and "extremely dangerous" tornado was confirmed west of Tallahassee Thursday afternoon. Major damage to homes was reported in Hosford in the area.
Straight-line winds gusted to 76 mph near Panama City, Florida, as severe storms progressed east across the southeast Big Bend.
Hearing about that kind of weather is one thing. Seeing it is another.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management is speculating that the tornado could have been as high as EF-3 strength, a category of tornado whose max winds are 165 mph.
