Just when you think New Jersey couldn't get any more New Jersey, it goes and out-New Jerseys itself yet again.
The New York Post reports:
Wyckoff's Christmas Tree farm in New Jersey had Christmas Grinches saying fir-getaboutit after offering Yuletide pines that come in a kaleidoscopic array of colors.
Dubbed "New Jersey's original colored tree farm," the White Township-based fir trader offers trees in 9 different colors: pink, purple, dark blue, light blue, turquoise, magenta, red, and black, per the site.
It is, regrettably, oh-so-true, folks:

Santa wept.
It hurts the heart to look at it. What's worse, up close the trees are obviously painted. What looks merely bizarre from afar looks fake and plastic up close:
As the Post notes, the farm coats the trees "with a fire-proof, latex-based paint that's 'specifically formulated for Christmas trees'." And they legitimately do just spray it on:

Meanwhile, for those health nuts who are concerned about the potential effects of spraying latex paint onto an organic object in the middle of their living room, take heart:
In a disclaimer on their site, the Christmas tree company claims that they "believe this product to be safe, based on provided manufacturer information."
I will stick with the standard natural green this year, but thank you anyway!
