New "Peppa Pig" episode entitled "Families" introduces lesbian polar bear couple

So I guess polar bears are gay now or something?

I knew they weren't just dying off from global warming.

Yes, "Peppa Pig" has long been criticized for its portrayal of the traditional family — mom stays home, dad works, kids are happy, things are great — so it was only a matter of time before the show had to bend to the woke mob.

And that they did earlier this week:

The popular British children's show "Peppa Pig" has introduced its first same-sex couple — two lesbian polar bears — following years of calls for more LGBTQ characters on the show.

In an episode that aired Tuesday on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom, Penny the Polar Bear tells main character Peppa Pig that she has "two mummies" and draws a picture of herself holding hands with them.

"I live with my mummy and my other mummy," Penny says in the episode, which is titled "Families." She adds that one of her moms is a doctor.

I'm seeing Peppa staring blankly into the distance like, "A-rite seems ta me, between ya mummy and ya mummy, one a dem has ta have a daddy part. Else, howd'ya get here?"

But I'm sure the show didn't go that route.

No, in fact I'm guessing they'll see pushback from the trans community, the non-binary community, and, quite appropriately, the furry community — because I'm sure none of these animal people are voiced by actual furries. Just sayin'.

More thoughts from Matt Walsh:

Anyhow, what did you expect from one of the greatest children's shows on TV?

Everything with a corporate tag on it these days is bound to bow to the woke mob at some point.

On the bright side, we've got a new slang term for lesbians: polar bears.

So that's great!
