If this trend continues then a very bad orange man could soon be back in the White House.

According to a new AP-NORC poll of the top issues among Americans, the immigration crisis is approaching the top of the list, even over the economy.

It's currently the second most important issue to voters, with foreign policy (skewed by the number of Democrats who don't care about the border) coming in at the top spot.

Members of the public were asked which problems facing the United States and the world today they would like the government to work on in 2024. In the wake of the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine and the debate over immigration, the public is putting a higher priority on foreign policy issues this year. Overall, 60% mention foreign policy issues, up from 41% in December 2022.

Overall, 35% cite immigration and the border wall as a top concern, up from 27% in December 2022. Thirty-eight percent mention other foreign policy issues, up from 18% last year.

Americans are tired of foreign wars after 4 years of peace under Trump, and they are tired of open borders.

If it weren't for all of the baggage, this would be such an easy win for The Donald.

The Top 2 issues for Americans are among Trump's biggest winners. Throw in the economy and it's an electoral dream for the former president.

The rising public worry about migration began to take off in 2014, jumped in 2016, and jumped against this year because of Biden's pro-migration policy.

The national focus on migration was announced on January 2, just as government officials reported news that Biden's pro-migration border chief welcomed more than 300,000 migrants across the southern border in December 2023.

More Americans than ever are starting to think "Maybe we should have built that wall after all."
