Hasbro, Paramount+, and Nickelodeon launched a new Transformers series called EarthSpark, which has raised a few eyebrows among Transformers fans.
First off, the series embraces that whole call evil "good" and good "evil" thing that's all the rage in remakes like Wicked and Maleficent by making Megatron a good guy.
Let that sink in.
Then it introduces Nightshade, the first non-binary Transformer voiced by Z. Infante:
The scene that introduces the character made me literally laugh out loud as Optimus gets hit with a "well ackshually" from a social justice warrior:
I, like most parents, have been frustrated by all the LGBTQ+ agenda-pushing propaganda in children's programs recently, but this is so amusing I can hardly stand it.
It's a robot, folks: a robot with pronoun issues.
And poor Optimus, he looks like someone just slapped him with a fish, and he's uncertain how to respond.
My apologies. Please switch "their" piece," he stammers.
Ridiculous.
On an unrelated note, what's with the mug that reads, "World's Best Wife?"
