New study finds that wearing a face mask makes you more attractive to the opposite sex

This is quality Not the Bee material right here:

😂😂😂

The study is out of Cardiff University in Wales, and it asked 43 women to rate images of men—some wearing masks, some not—based on their attractiveness.

The result:

Our study suggests faces are considered most attractive when covered by medical face masks. This may be because we're used to healthcare workers wearing blue masks and now we associate these with people in caring or medical professions. At a time when we feel vulnerable, we may find the wearing of medical masks reassuring and so feel more positive towards the wearer.

Okay, I can't help but have the same thought as Seth Dillon on this one:

Like, what kind of woman sees a photo of a man with a mask on and is like "yeah, that's hot, he's cute"?!?!?!

Something just doesn't seem right here.

There had to have been some pretty, pretty ugly unmasked faces in those photos.

Also, I'm guessing the women who participated in the study are the type who would approach you at the grocery store and tell you to pull your mask up.

Mask Karens, I think they're called...

I bet if the study had shown photos of men with their mask below the nose, those photos would've resulted in the lowest "attractiveness" rating. They should try that next time.

The results concerning what men think of masked women have not been published yet, but researchers say as far as they can tell the results are similar to the women.

Just for fun, I'll leave you with this:
