Farmers in New York from just outside of Buffalo grew the biggest pumpkin in United States history.

2,554 pounds!

With a 26-pound advantage over the previous record, this New York giant has become the largest gourd grown in America.

State and national records fell over the weekend at the Great Pumpkin Farm in the Buffalo suburb of Clarence, when Scott Andrusz's entry broke the previous national record of 2,528 pounds, The Buffalo News reported.

The previous New York state record was 2,517 pounds, a news release said.

The winning gourd will be on display at the Great Pumpkin Farm fall festival through Oct. 16.

Go by and see this huge pumpkin if you're in the area.

While this Andrusz Giant is the biggest ever grown in the states, the world record still stands strong at 2,702 pounds for an Italian pumpkin.
