Here's how much she won:
THAT'S RIGHT!
Cynthia Harris of Cary, North Carolina, thought she was playing in demo mode when she won a $736,874 jackpot playing an online lottery game called Bison Bonanza.
Harris' win is the largest digital instant prize won since the game became available last year. And she didn't even know she was playing!
The North Carolina Education Lottery quoted Harris as saying,
I was like, ‘Wait how did this just happen?' It still hasn't set in yet.
Sometimes it really pays to be a Boomer? 😉
After taxes, her winnings were brought down to a grand total of $526,866, but that's still nothing to sneeze at for a $2 accident.
The lucky winner says that she plans to use her winnings to take care of her aging mother. And for half a million bucks, surely she can take her mama on a cruise or two.
All Harris could say in conclusion was,
I am a blessed person.
Not to condone the lottery, but in this particular case, I think I would have to agree with her.
