The Lord's Prayer is the most recited prayer in the world, spoken by billions of Christians weekly. Believers teach their children to recite it from a young age. It has been this way for thousands of years.
But three educated contestants on a trivia show in the most powerful nation in history, a nation founded on Christian teaching, didn't know what 4-year-olds in African churches know. Unreal.
"Hallowed" comes from the Greek term "hagiazó," which means "holy, set apart, sanctified, sacred, special." Strong's Bible Concordance notes it means "to separate from things profane and dedicate to God, to consecrate and so render inviolable." God is wholly good and perfect; He is incorruptible and pure, without blemish or flaw.
