Three New York state legislators are opposing plans to open Chick-fil-A locations at rest stops because of their history of "donating millions" to those big meanie groups like the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
"Chick-fil-A, through the charitable wing of its business, has a history of donating millions of dollars to organizations that are discriminatory and anti-LGBTQ organizations," Democratic Rochester-area Assembly member Harry Bronson said.
Bronson is one of three "openly gay" New York legislators that sent a letter to the New York State Thruway Authority. Their letter was sent after the Thruway Authority already approved plans for the rest stops to include Chick-fil-A.
It seems Bronson and his "gay" homies took that personally.
"New York has taken great strides to expand and protect the rights of LGBTQ+ New Yorkers," Bronson said.
"This move by the Thruway Authority, strikes us, as sending a message to LGBTQ+ individuals and families that it doesn't share the same commitment to their civil rights as New York State."
Elsewhere in the letter, Bronson says Chick-fil-A has "donated millions of dollars to organizations hostile to LGBTQ+ rights."

Affirming God's design for family (one man and one woman for life) is not hostility to anyone.
But this is what Leftism always does. It takes words and ideas and twists them to mean the opposite. It takes "good" and calls it "bad," and takes "bad" and calls it "good."
"We want to be clear that Chick-fil-A does not have a political or social agenda, and we welcome everyone in our restaurants. We are proud to be represented by more than 200,000 diverse team members nationwide, and we strive to be a positive influence in our local communities," Chick-fil-A, Inc. said in a statement.
And let's just say, for the sake of argument, that those groups really are as evil as Bronson is mansplaining them to be.
Chick-fil-A stopped donating to those groups in 2019 (which, at the time, actually upset a lot of Christians and conservatives). So, why is Bronson acting as if Chick-fil-A is still donating to those groups?
Apart from that, Chick-fil-A has reportedly donated to many "pro-LGBT, pro-abortion groups," as well as a group that hosts Drag Queen Story Hour.
Even still, he thinks there's an "anti-LGBTQ" Chick-fil-A boogeyman lurking in the shadows.
"It's on state thruway authority property and they are leasing it, so it's in essence the state saying, ‘We are going to offer them an opportunity for them to earn millions and millions of dollars,' even though we know what the history is," Bronson said.
Would Mr. Bronson like to discuss the history of the Democratic Party? Should donations to the Democratic Party stop because of its history? Are we really going to let Bronson and his "gay" BFFs earn money as members of the Democratic Party, even with all its horrible history?
The Thruway Authority said no tax or toll dollars are being used in the rest stop renovations. They also said they "support an inclusive environment that treats the tens of millions of people that travel our system with dignity and respect."
Whatever that means.
