Oh look, Gavin Newsom's kids returned to private school while public schools remain closed

Leftist demagogue and California Governor Gavin Newsom is being criticized for sending his four kids back to their fancy private school while millions of children in his state are stuck with virtual learning.

"They're phasing back into school and we are phasing out of our very challenging distance learning that we've been doing, so many parents are doing up and down the state," said Newsom last Friday.

Newsom has technically given the green light for schools in Sacramento County to reopen, but the logistics of complying with the governor's detailed and sometimes bizarre "safety" measures have made that an extreme challenge for many large public school systems.

The majority of the state's 6.1 million children are not in school, and those who are tend to come from affluent families that can afford tutors and private education. As a humble American public servant, Newsom of course falls into the latter category.

While his children are resuming their childhoods and getting an education to be competitive in future endeavors, the poorer communities Newsom apparently serves are the ones being the hardest hit.

"Distance learning has widened gaps for children of color, children in low-income families, and children of less-educated parents," reported the Public Policy Institute of California.

The same agency said 43% of low-income homes don't even have the internet to participate in virtual learning.

Critics took the posh governor to town over this discrepancy.

Rules for thee but not for me!
