Oreo And Ritz Have Teamed Up And Are Giving Away Free Cracker/Cookie Sandwiches, Probably Because Nobody In Their Right Mind Would Buy Something That Gross

Here's another food item that literally no one asked for.

Oreo and Ritz crackers have teamed together to create an absolute monstrosity:

The cookie/cracker sandwich is half Oreo and half peanut butter Ritz.

This is so utterly gross. I don't know where to begin.

It honestly looks like an idea that was pitched to Oreo by a drunk college student at 3 am. Who else could come up with such a disgrace?

First off, Oreos are the greatest cookies to ever exist on God's green earth. It is the perfect cookie.

And everyone knows, you don't mess with perfection.

But the downfall of Oreo is that they are CONSTANTLY messing with perfection and giving us all flavors we don't care about. We want chocolate cookies with cream in between that's it.

Peanut butter by itself being added might be okay. But to replace one of the chocolate cookies with a Ritz cracker?

Again, Ritz's on their own are delicious. But these food manufacturers need to learn how to star in their dang lane.

From CNN:

The two brands, owned by Mondelēz International, are launching a limited-time snack called "Oreo x Ritz." It's one part cracker and another part cookie, joined together by a layer of peanut-butter-flavored creme and another layer of cookie creme.

If that mashup sounds delicious, act quick: The company is giving it out for free starting Thursday at 12 pm ET on a special website, and supplies are limited. Note, however, that you will have to pay a $3.95 shipping fee.

Of course, they're giving it away for free. You could not pay me to eat this sandwich.

Alexis Yap, Ritz senior brand manager, said in a release that the brand "has been exploring innovative partnerships" over the last few years and "couldn't resist the opportunity to collaborate with our friends at Oreo on a snack that's part salty cracker, part chocolate cookie, and entirely delicious."

She has to say it's delicious. It's her product so they are paying her to say that.

Oreo is also owned by the same people who make Chips Ahoy! So if they want to do a collaboration, I think that would be a MUCH better partner.
