On Monday morning, a large group of Palestinians began throwing rocks and other objects at Jewish residents and worshippers who were celebrating Jerusalem Day, which marks the reunification of the Old City under Israeli control.
Here was one example of a Jewish driver being pelted with rocks and then assaulted by a mob when he panicked and tried to escape:

Authorities said rioters had planned attacks for the day, with videos on social seeming to show some of their preparations. This included stockpiling rocks inside the Al-Aqsa mosque.
Police, of course, responded to the attacks and subsequent rioting. More than 20 officers and 300 rioters were injured in the resulting clashes around and inside the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Qubbat as-Sakhra mosque (also known as the Dome of the Rock):

Below the mosque is the Western Wall of the ancient Jewish Temple Mount. Also known as the Wailing Wall, this is where Jews go to be as close to the original Temple of Solomon as possible – the place where God once dwelled.
Having been there myself, I can tell you the tension and security in this small area of real estate is palpable to anyone who visits.
The Jews say they have claim because of thousands of years of history. The Muslims say they have claim because Mohammed once visited the city in a dream and, per the binding rules of "dibs," that negates the overwhelming claims of ancient ownership.
Of course, the issue is far more complex than that, with pandemic restrictions and a decades-long legal battle over land ownership adding to over a thousand years of cultural tension.
The latter problem of land ownership is what apparently caused this newest unrest. For the Jewish perspective on the matter, see here. For the "unbiased" perspective of mainstream media that refers to Israel as "an apartheid regime," please see the official Associated Press writeup.
Despite the ongoing complexity and sensitivities of this lose-lose situation, that won't stop American politicians from immediately letting their anti-Semitism shine!
Take "Squad" member Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, who called on Joe Biden to act:
Do you think Tlaib might be missing just a bit of context here???
Oh, and you'll never guess which fellow Squad member retweeted Tlaib's post!
It's also funny how badly Tlaib misses the mark on her equivalency here. The Holy Sepulchre is not the same for Christians as the Al-Aqsa (see Jesus' words here on where and how his followers will worship).
Even more hilariously, her tweet gives credibility to Jewish ownership of the Temple Mount, where Jews are currently banned.
While Tlaib specifically invoked President Joe Biden in her tweet, Israel is already warning POTUS not to get involved.
Unfortunately, like most such incidents, the media and leftists (but I repeat myself) will use a story of premeditated attacks on innocent people and twist it into an international narrative of Israel's barbarism. Take a look at how mainstream outlets framed the story:
