Phoenix's homeless encampment known as "The Zone" has ballooned to more than 900 PEOPLE in the past few weeks

Seems like this is happening more and more these days in cities across the United States:

More from ABC15:

The Zone encompasses several blocks surrounding Phoenix's Human Services Campus, which contains a soup kitchen, shelter, and other programs for people experiencing homelessness.

The campsites line the sidewalks in the area bordered by 9th Avenue, Jackson Street, 13th Avenue, and Jefferson Street in Phoenix. It's just a few blocks away from the Arizona State Capitol complex...

"Our count just this last Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. was 900 unsheltered people," said Amy Schwabenlender, the executive director of the Human Services Campus. That means more people are living outside her gate on the sidewalk than inside where all 700 shelter beds are full.

Pretty much the whole report is focused on whether or not the government can move your private property if it's just sitting out in the middle of the street.

Yes, instead of addressing the insane opioid epidemic, lockdowns that closed countless businesses, rampant inflation, surging illegal immigration and crime, and all the other things leading to epidemic homelessness, the media wants to focus on how it's not nice to throw away random trash in the middle of public property.

I'm guess the feelings and safety of nearby (taxpaying) families and businesses โ€“ who have homeless drug users and criminals building one of America's new slums next door โ€“ don't really matter!
