Police discovered over 1100 pounds of cocaine at a Nespresso plant in Switzerland

If you've sensed that your coffee has given you a little more jolt recently, well...it might not be in your head. It might actually be in your bloodstream!

Swiss police on Thursday seized 500 kilos of cocaine worth £41million from a shipment of coffee beans delivered to a Nespresso plant, officials said.

Workers at the plant in Romont, in the western Swiss canton of Fribourg, alerted authorities on Monday to a mysterious white powder found in sacks of coffee beans that had arrived from Brazil, police said.

Analysis determined the substance was cocaine. A search of five shipping containers 'delivered the same day by train allowed for the seizure of more than 500 kilos of this drug,' Fribourg police said.

Okay okay thank goodness it looks like none of it actually made it into the coffee supply...that we know of.

Okay okay for real obviously nobody's spiking the Colombian Excelso with coke. That would make absolutely no financial sense whatsoever.

What makes almost as little sense is why they would ship those mind-blowing amounts of blow to a major corporate warehouse in the first place. Like, what, they didn't think it would be found? It's not like they're just gonna leave a container sitting there unopened!

Anyway let's hope no high-ranking Nestle staffers were involved in this or the Nestle bunny is gonna be really disappointed.
