Guys, they just cannot help themselves.
PolitiFact just published another fact check of a Babylon Bee story because, well, because of course they did.
You'd think that after almost a decade everyone would know the Babylon Bee is a satire site and that that little Bee means they're joking.
But I guess the idea that Buttigieg would praise the destruction of a racist bridge is just way too believable!
A recent Facebook post shared a headline from a satire website but not everyone got the joke.
"Buttigieg praises cargo ship for helping dismantle racism in American roads," the headline said alongside photos of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and the cargo ship that crashed into Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge.
"And these are the people running our country," one person commented.
"I didn't read the article โฆ but it sounds like something he would say," someone else said.
This was flagged by "concerned citizens" and now I guess Meta gets to punish whoever shared the screenshot of this story for posting satire.
This post was flagged as part of Meta's efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed.
Here's the Bee story, btw. Enjoy the laugh!
