Residents of Oakland, CA want to defund cops AND have more cops... at the same time?

What are these people thinking. Seriously, what?

A recent citywide poll, conducted by FM3 Research, in the weeks just prior to the election, revealed the conflicted and confused state of the Oakland community psyche.

Though we can't imagine why a city overrun by crime, drugs, and homeless encampments would feel unsafe, a majority of Oakland dwellers feel "less safe" than they did "a year or two ago."

So it only makes logical sense that they would want to "increase the number of police," right?

Well that's where the logic breaks down, with voters siMuLtAniOUsLy wanting to defund the police AND have greater numbers of police.

Somehow, in their muddled minds, this makes sense.

Take a look at these poll returns and let us know if you can make any sense of it.

It's like that Old El Paso commercial where the kids can't decide between crunchy or soft tacos. Finally, there comes a solution — "Why don't we have both?"

Someone needs to tell the fine folks of Oakland that life just doesn't work like tacos.
