In a move straight out of the "how to confuse your congregation" playbook, Resurrection Oakland Church, a Presbyterian Church of America congregation in California, hosted a "Black worshippers only" dinner to celebrate Black History Month.

Yes, you read that right — apparently, unity in Christ now comes with a velvet rope and a racial guest list.

Pastors Brent Webster (white) and Dave Lee (Asian) proudly announced the event.

The shindig featured Irwyn Ince, a big name in PCA's African American Ministries, who's all about "Black spaces" — because nothing says "fellowship" like a "No Whites Allowed" sign.

"We are a church who's very unique in today's time," says a church that's in lock-step with the race-Marxism of our time.

Fellow believers had thoughts. Reporter Megan Basham cited the PCA's own 2004 letter calling racial exclusion a sin.

Other reactions:

Defenders, meanwhile, argued it's just a cozy cultural get-together, not a Jim Crow reboot.

Pastor Lee admitted it might "jar" some folks, but insisted it's all about diversity (ironic, considering the one-race-only RSVP).

One thing's clear: At Resurrection Oakland, "all are welcome" comes with a racial asterisk — and a bouncer.
