In a story that has "Canada" written all over it, a 28-year-old Nova Scotia man took his snowmobile for a spin near the oh-so-charmingly-named Poison Lake, only to crash into a snowbank and then get hit by a fire truck which was there to "help" him.
He slams into a snowbank — classic move — but before he can dust himself off and laugh it off, a volunteer firefighter rolls up in a fire truck to "help." Except the truck slides on ice and crushes the guy ...
Dead on the spot.

'What we know is that the snowmobile was travelling on the roadway when it struck a snowbank, and witnesses who came upon them rendered assistance, called for help, and were providing a first aid on the roadway,' RCMP Cpl. Guillaume Tremblay said in an interview Monday.
The RCMP's out there shrugging, calling it a "tragic accident" while Cumberland County's finest are probably rethinking their rescue playbook.
'The investigation is in the early stages, it's certainly too hard to tell if the snow on the road was a factor or not,' Tremblay said. 'Both vehicles were seized for mechanical examination.'
Some are speculating whether or not the volunteer firefighter was "impaired"...
