It's actually hard to believe that we've never had a public holiday celebrating the defeat of the Nazis in World War 2.
But that's all changing now.
We're going to start celebrating our victories again.
What a beautiful sentiment.

On May 8, VE Day (Victory in Europe), which is already celebrated by our World War 2 allies across the pond, America will now be commemorating the victory over Germany in the second World War.
The US does not have any public holidays commemorating World War II specifically, but there have been remembrance ceremonies in May, August and September across the country for decades ...
In the same post, Trump stated that Nov. 11 will also be recognized as World War I 'Victory Day.'
'We won both Wars, nobody was close to us in terms of strength, bravery, or military brilliance, but we never celebrate anything,' the president wrote. 'That's because we don't have leaders anymore, that know how to do so! We are going to start celebrating our victories again!'

Don't you just love to see an American President with so much love and patriotism for his country?
I just can't wait to hear from leftists how celebrating victory over Hitler makes Trump even more like Hitler!
