It hurts the heart to hear President Trump talk this way.
You know, I'm being a little cute. I don't think there's anything going to get me to heaven, okay? I think I'm maybe not heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now flying Air Force One. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make heaven.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
President Trump heard the Gospel multiple times at Charlie Kirk's funeral alone, from multiple people in his Cabinet, no less:
He just doesn't think he deserves salvation. He doesn't realize that none of us deserve it, and it's only a free gift of grace. You don't have to be "good enough" to earn heaven. Jesus himself said he didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners. The worst of the worst can believe and be saved (yes, even you!).
Trump has fought for and earned everything he has. But the free gift?
I don't think he understands that it's for him as well.
This is a man who believes in God, heaven, hell, and the reality of the supernatural. He wants to go to heaven.
God, help his unbelief.
