Talk about vintage!

A slice of Princess Diana's wedding cake was auctioned off and sold last week for £1,750, or about $2,380 USD.

Charles Prince of Wales and Diana Princess of Wales were married in 1981.

This piece of cake is 40-years-old and still looks delicious 🤤 ... I mean, gross... I wouldn't eat that thing... don't look at me!!

The iconic wedding happened in Buckingham Palace and I guess people are still talking about it! 🤷‍♀️

The slice was auctioned off with printed program from the ceremony and a memorial Royal Wedding Breakfast menu and table seating program.

Although it still looks edible, Dominic Winter Auctioneers doesn't recommend eating it.

Where's the fun in that?

Maybe the fact that it still looks (almost) like new, maybe that should make us all a little weary of fondant?

"Fondant, the sugary goo that will outlive you!" 😈
