Pro Fat Activists TRIGGERED Because Rapper and Singer Lizzo Does a Smoothie Detox
· Dec 17, 2020 · NottheBee.com

Popular singer Lizzo posted a video about her drinking a smoothie, and, as you can imagine in our postmodern world, this has triggered many so-called Fat Activists, claiming that the overweight singer has betrayed her community.

Yes, you are still on Not the Bee.

The Daily Wire describes the video that started the controversy:

"So I did the 10-day smoothie detox and as you know I would normally be so afraid and ashamed to post things like this online because I feel like as a big girl people just expect if you are doing something for health you're doing it for like a dramatic weight loss," the "Truth Hurts" singer explained Monday in a video posted to social media. "And that is not the case."

The singer, who is literally most well known for her "confidence" in her large size, said she was afraid to post about her doing the detox because she was afraid people would think she was trying to lose weight. She makes it clear: SHE IS NOT TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT. She apparently has other health goals in mind.

Regardless, this set off a social media firestorm of "fat activists" who took great offense at THE VERY IDEA that being fat may not be healthy in and of itself. If you want to know more about this insane intersectional world of Fat Studies check out James Lindsay's article in New Discourses discussing this "academic" phenomenon. It's part of the radical feminism rabbit hole of insanity.

So, what do the critiques look like? Well, we have some doozies.

"Toxic diet culture." I am not a doctor. But it probably wouldn't hurt for Lizzo to shed a few pounds. There. I said it.

Let's go on.

She's giving in to Fatphobia! It's not that she's trying to be reasonably healthy... it couldn't be that... The bigoted anti-fat folks have claimed another one!

Here's a particularly wild take.

"My heart hurts with all my fat peers today."

That MAY be a cardiovascular issue. Just saying.

Do these people think Lizzo has betrayed them? You've heard of race traitors, and gender traitors, now we have weight traitors.

The last point is totally true, btw. Lizzo is literally this popular BECAUSE she promoted herself as "big and proud." Yet, at the very same time as her popularity is driven by her weight, it is also supposedly true that the industry is performing violence against her BECAUSE she's overweight.

The truth is, being overweight is Lizzo's brand. Without it, she likely wouldn't be nearly as successful as she has been. But she may be realizing that she needs to start living a little healthier if she wants her career to continue for years to come.

For the "betrayed" fat activists I have two words:

Truth hurts.
