Referees overturned a buzzer-beater which would've sent this New Jersey high school to the state final

I refuse to sit here in my basement and argue as to why this buzzer-beater should've been Manasquan High School's ticket to the New Jersey state finals. Just watch for yourself as the shot, which left this kid's hand with a half second remaining, is for some reason called off by the referees.

"I still don't know what happened," [Manasquan Head Coach Andrew] Bilodeau told The Post. "I wish I could tell you. The basket was ruled good. It's clear to see on the video. The place erupts. The official on site meets with the three officials. I don't know what took place. They just said, ‘No basket, game over'" …

Asked if there was the possibility of a protest, the coach said, "It's something that's being discussed and looked into. I believe an appeal was denied [Tuesday night]. We'll see what happens."

Yeah dude, in the days we live in now, where social media just takes over stuff like this, it's only a matter of time before the decision is overturned and Manasquan is granted their rightful place in the state final.

And when that time comes, we wish them the best of luck.

What a finish out there in Jersey. It's just too bad it played out the way it did.
