Multiple reports are out of Washington DC that a man in an Air Force uniform self-immolated outside of the Israeli embassy to protest the Israel-Palestine war.
[Warning: Graphic]
Task and Purpose is reporting that this man was a member of the United States Air Force according to local sources.
However, the Air Force has neither confirmed nor denied whether or not the man in the photo is a member of the Air Force.
The incident appears to be in protest of Israel's war in Gaza. Independent journalist Talia Jane obtained video of the self-immolation, although it has not been posted online. On X, former known as Twitter, Jane reports that the man in Air Force uniform said he was 'an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force and I will no longer be complicit in genocide.' He then set himself on fire and shouted 'Free Palestine.'
The fire was extinguished and local authorities have confirmed a man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries from the blaze.
The man set himself on fire, reportedly, to protest the war in Gaza.
We'll let you know if we find out anything more on the story.
