Little Rocket Man is working hard at developing his nuclear capabilities and terrorizing his neighbors.

CNBC is reporting that North Korean hackers have, this year alone, stolen hundreds of millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency to help fund the country's nuclear program.

According to the report, $200 million has been stolen, accounting for nearly 20% of crypto theft worldwide, between January 1 and August 18 of this year.

The theory is that this money is largely going to fund the communist country's offensive nuclear weapons capabilities.

"In recent years, there has been a marked rise in the size and scale of cyber attacks against cryptocurrency-related businesses by North Korea. This has coincided with an apparent acceleration in the country's nuclear and ballistic missile programs," said TRM Labs in a June discussion with North Korea experts.

This also coincides with North Korea turning away from its traditional revenue generation and focusing more on stealing wealth from others.

Just last month, the FBI warned crypto companies that North Korea-linked hackers are planning to "cash out" $40 million of crypto.

The agency also said in January it continues "to identify and disrupt North Korea's theft and laundering of virtual currency, which is used to support North Korea's ballistic missile and Weapons of Mass Destruction programs."
