DeSantis is deploying the Florida State Guard to ports where dockworkers are on strike to "maintain order and, if possible, resume operations" ✊

Florida, please tell the rest of America what it feels like to have good leadership?

DeSantis is taking on the fat cats in the dockworkers union and sending in the Florida State Guard to maintain order so that needed supplies can reach Americans suffering after Hurricane Helene.

Oh no! How will Longshoreman boss Harold Dagget afford a new Bentley for his 5-car garage if DeSantis gets around the strike? Sad!

Here is DeSantis announcing the move at a press conference:

At my direction, the Florida National Guard and the Florida State Guard will be deployed to critical ports affected by the strike to maintain order and, if possible, resume operations which would otherwise be shut down during this interruption ...

DeSantis is temporarily waving tolls and other restrictions, as well as mobilizing state patrol to escort commercial vehicles if needed, on commercial vehicles, so that goods can travel throughout the major port state during this major strike.

It really is incumbent on the Biden-Harris administration to do everything in their power to ensure that these goods are where they need to be, that people are not left hanging out in the cold waiting for these goods if they're sitting in the ocean somewhere and they're not being ... used ... Biden-Harris has a responsibility to stand up for the storm victims, stand up for the people who have had their homes damaged or have lost their homes, make sure they have what they need to get back on their feet.

Oh, and by the way, the man just had a hurricane go through his state.

But he can handle that business, give aid to North Carolina for their disaster relief, and use Guard troops to keep the ports open and safe.

God Bless Florida.
