Based Ron DeSantis Slams NCAA For Allowing Lia Thomas To Compete As A Woman, Officially Recognizes Sarasota's Emma Weyant As Winner
· Mar 22, 2022 · NottheBee.com

Lia Thomas, a man who thinks he's a woman, won the NCAA women's freestyle 500 event because, well you know, he's a dude.

Florida's Ron DeSantis made a proclamation that Florida native Emma Weyant, who finished second, is the REAL winner.

Has Ron DeSantis been reading Not the Bee's own Peter Heck?

From the proclamation:

WHEREAS, it is my determination that men should not compete against women such as Emma Weyant, robbing women and girls of achievements, awards, and scholarships; and

WHEREAS, Florida rejects the NCAA's efforts to destroy women's athletics, disapproves of the NCAA elevating ideology over biology, and takes offense at the NCAA trying to make others complicit in a lie.

NOW THEREFORE, since she is a native Floridian from Sarasota, I, Ron DeSantis, Governor of the State of Florida, do hereby declare in Florida that Emma Weyant is the rightful winner of the 2022 NCAA Division 1 Women's 500-yard-freestyle, congratulations to her on yet another significant achievement, and express pride that she is a Florida resident.

Absolute fire.

Here's Governor DeSavage explaining his proclamation at a news conference:

Ronny D refuses to participate in the lie that Lia Thomas is a woman and the state of Florida will NOT recognize him as such.

All you spineless GOP wimps, this is what conservatives fighting back looks like.
