The governors of Texas and Arizona might be busing the flood of illegal aliens to leftist "sanctuary" cities like Chicago and DC to showcase their hypocrisy, but Florida's governor is playing on a different level.
The island of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts is one of the richest areas in the United States. Barack Obama's $15-million oceanside mansion is there. Other public figures like Bill and Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, and Oprah regularly vacation there, as have other presidents and celebrities for a century.
It's a high-density area of smug, woke elites who want to make the world a "better" place at a safe distance from all us little people.
Ron DeSantis is finally giving them a chance to practice what they preach.
"Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha's Vineyard today were part of the state's relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations," the governor's communications director, Taryn Fenske, told Fox News Digital.
"States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states' and support for the Biden administration's open border policies," she said.
The "compassionate" leftists in places like DC are trying to activate the National Guard to deal with a fraction of the daily influx of human trafficking into small border towns. Chicago's Lori Lightfoot whined, then sent the illegal immigrants to a nice hotel in a suburb so she didn't have to deal with them any more.
Meanwhile, the citizens in border towns have bent over backward to show Christian charity toward the little children and abused women being trafficked, while also demonstrating love for their neighbor by protecting their communities from the drugs, weapons, indentured servants, and gang members that the cartels are freely sending.
The office of Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker responded to an after-hours email from Fox News Digital, saying it was aware of the situation and that the arrivals were provided short-term shelter.
"The Baker-Polito Administration is in touch with local officials regarding the arrival of migrants in Martha's Vineyard," Terry MacCormack, Baker's press secretary, wrote. "At this time, short-term shelter services are being provided by local officials, and the Administration will continue to support those efforts."
Here's the thing: It's only two planes.
Or about the same number of migrants who cross at a single border crossing during a slow lunch break.
Wait until the 30th or 50th or 300th plane full of illegal aliens lands in Martha's Vineyard.
