Ross Chastain literally pulled a move out of a video game to make his way into the NASCAR Championship and you have to see it to believe it

This is the most incredible thing I've ever seen come out of NASCAR.

Ross Chastain was lingering all the way back in tenth place on the final lap of a NASCAR playoff race, needing some sort of a miracle to make it up into the top five before the finish so he could advance to the championship.

So what did he do?

He pulled a move that, until that very moment, had only been attempted in video games.

And it worked to perfection.

Another angle:

Wow!

Just wow!

That takes some guts right there.

Chastain put his Chevrolet into fifth gear, took his hands off the steering wheel, and let the wall guide him around the track. The maneuver worked, as Chastain came across the line in fifth, ahead of Hamlin who placed sixth. Chastain's daring pass saw him finish sixth points ahead of Hamlin in the yearly standings, enough to qualify along with Joey Logano, Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell — who won Sunday's Race — for the Championship.

What's more, Chastain just pulled off the fastest lap ever recorded at Martinsville at 18.845 seconds.

Let's take a look at what Ross Chastain saw as he rode the wall to the championship:

Dude just absolutely destroyed his car in the proccess!

You might be wondering how this worked, and so, still, am I. The way I read it, all those other drivers had to slow down to make the turn (like normal people), but with the wall at his side, Ross Chastain just floored it and used the wall to guide him around the turn instead of steering. It's absolutely mind boggling that it worked.

And where did Chastain learn this mighty-fine move?

Learned it from a video game!

I've never seen such excitement from a NASCAR race, and I'll probably never see it again.

This move will likely be banned very soon, as it's obviously extremely dangerous to everyone anywhere near the track.

I'm just glad Ross Chastain tried it out so we could all verify that it actually does work outside of video games.

Good luck in the championship!
