The satanists are at it again; this time with a "Black Mass" event at the Kansas state capitol, posting the following to social media:

Join us at the Topeka Capitol building in Kansas as we dedicate the grounds and our legislature to the glory of Satan. We will be performing rites of the Black Mass and indulging in sacrilegious blasphemy.

God will fall and Kansas will be embraced by the black flame of Lucifer.

The Satanist group The Grotto is the one holding the Black Mass, similar to the one held in Oklahoma City last year.

A Black Mass inverts the Catholic Mass, focusing the Latin Liturgy on Satan rather than God and requires a consecrated host to be stolen from the eucharist and destroyed.

On a side note, it's a little odd to hold one in March, as usually these things happen during October — around Halloween.

But the Grotto isn't affiliated with other Satanists, so maybe they just don't know. (It's a non-denominational church of Satan.🤣)

At any rate, the Kansas capitol has approved their permit.

However, in response to multiple complaints from Christian groups, Governor Laura Kelly has moved the events outside on capitol grounds, rather than in the building itself.

'There are more constructive ways to protest and express disagreements without insulting or denigrating sacred religious symbols,' Kelly said in her statement.

'However, as governor, I also have a duty to protect protesters' constitutional rights to freedom of speech and expression, regardless of how offensive or distasteful I might find the content to be. Since these rights are constitutionally protected, the Governor's Office has limited authority to respond to such actions.'

I think the voters in Kansas will forgive you, Governor Kelly, for telling the Satanists who are not religious but simply mockers and scorners, "No." In fact they'll love you for it.

Much like the Oklahoma City event, Christian churches have applied for simultaneous permits to hold prayer vigils at or near the capitol while the Black Mass occurs.

John Horvat, American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) vice president and a Kansas native said,

"This is not just an offense against God but an attack on the very moral fabric of our state and nation. I urge all God-fearing Americans to take a stand - join us in peaceful protest, sign the petition, and offer prayers of reparation. Now is the time to defend our faith and reject this public affront to God."

Mark it on your calendars, folks, and pray for Kansas on March 28.
