Since 2020, California and New York have lost $2.7 trillion in assets to other states, mostly Texas and Florida

We all know that people are fleeing the Democrat-run states of California and New York in droves.

The demand is so high that a moving truck going from San Francisco to Austin costs double what it does going the other direction because the companies have to drive them back to California from Texas empty.

But it's not just people fleeing Democrats' tyrannical leadership, companies are picking up and moving their headquarters too.

New York and California have lost more than 370 companies worth an estimated $2.7 trillion (2.5% of the total U.S. GDP) since 2020.

Texas's GDP alone grew 32.6% between 2021 and 2022.

These moves affect more than just people and businesses moving. Remember that NYC is in a doom loop economically - 51.6% of office space is sitting empty and companies are not renewing their leases on many that are occupied.

Officials are blaming work-at-home office workers for said doom loop.

Yet Miami is having to build new office and retail buildings to keep up with demand.

Why aren't people in Miami working from home? My guess is it's because there are people IN Miami.

One would hope the people left in these declining states would realize that their Marxist politics are to blame for the exodus of people and wealth, but if history has taught us anything about the march to communism, a lot of people have to starve before that sort of awakening happens.

In the meantime, Texas and Florida remain the premiere destination of the free world.
