Yesterday during the turmoil in DC, when Trump supporters stormed the capitol, many photos that will one day be iconic emerged from the ruckus. One such photo was of a man apparently stealing a podium from The People's House.
Politico reporter Ryan Lizza tweeted out this photo of the rabble-rouser, and many on Twitter were quick to note that the man in the photo looks quite a bit like Chip Gaines from the show Fixer Upper.
However, there were some more unintentionally hilarious takes on this photo. In his tweet, Ryan Lizza credited Getty Images for the photo in the way a journalist typically would, by saying "Via Getty." As in, "I got the photo from Getty." This confused some of the smaller brains on the left who believed that Lizza identified the man in the photo by the name "Via Getty."
Check out some of these tweets, these people are clueless.
What are they thinking? Why would we know his name so quickly? What kind of name is Via Getty? Do they think this is a notorious Italian mobster named Via Getty?
Lizza had to clarify his tweet because of the mass confusion it sparked among his low information followers.
Just to be clear, Chip, or Via, or whatever this guy's name is, I do agree we should throw the book at him.
