Someone without a ticket snuck onboard a Delta flight from Seattle to Hawaii

Man, people are REALLY trying to get to Hawaii this travel season, aren't they?

At least this person didn't try to stowaway in the landing gear!

An unidentified person was found on a Delta plane that was scheduled to head from Seattle to Hawaii after he snuck past the ticket gate, past the flight attendants, and into a seat on the plane.

This incident also happened on Christmas Eve, the same as the wheel well stowaway on the Hawaii flight out of Chicago.

'As there are no matters more important than safety and security, Delta people followed procedures to have an unticketed passenger removed from the flight and then apprehended,' Delta said. 'We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travels and thank them for their patience and cooperation.'

The unticketed passenger was discovered as the plane taxied out, and the flight returned to the gate. It was delayed more than two hours.

This dude or dudette wasn't discovered until AFTER the plane started taxiing? How did it get that far? Airlines are usually so on top of checking your boarding pass. Did they just figure out because the flight was full and he was trying to sit on someone's lap?

Whatever the circumstances, this stowaway is also lucky to be alive.

Delaying a flight to Hawaii by 2 hours on Christmas Eve of all days would be a perfectly understandable motivation for a lynch mob.

The Transportation Security Administration said in a statement Thursday that the passenger made it through the standard screening and did not possess any prohibited items.

'The individual bypassed the identity verification and boarding status stations and boarded an aircraft at Seattle/Tacoma International (SEA) without a boarding pass,' the TSA statement said.

It honestly sounds like the guy was just trying to cheat the system and get a trip to Hawaii while purchasing a likely cheaper ticket and then sneaking onto the wrong plane.

JUST BUY THE CORRECT TICKET, PEOPLE!
