Spanish dad drives six hours to punch comedian who made sexual remarks about his 3-month old ... the way the situation ended is a lesson for us all

A Spanish man, Alberta Pugilato, has been trending in social media circles and on the news for punching comedian Jaime Caravaca.

Before I go too far here, I want to point out that Pugliato is part of the far-right movement in Spain (and I do mean far-right, like Nick Fuentes-loving, pro-Nazi far-right). And while I hate to even draw attention to someone who's gone so far down that rabbit hole, the reason why he's trending is important.

So, let's get into it.

Pugliato's fame erupted when he showed up at Caravaca's comedy show, hopped up on stage, and full-on clocked the comedian right in the middle of his set.

[Warning: Language in Spanish and English]

The context of the confrontation is that pro-Nazi Pugliato published a picture of his 3-month-old son on X.

And pro-communist Caravaca took that opportunity to make some sexual remarks about his baby.

Pugliato found out where his next show would be, drove six hours to Murcia, Spain, and punched the dude out.

What father wouldn't do the same, regardless of their politics?

And while I hate to keep coming back to either of their political stances, they are important in what happens next.

Pro-communism Caravaca issued a public apology, and pro-Nazi Pugilato accepted it and forgave him.

Caravaca said,

After what happened, what was intended to be a joke was ultimately an unfortunate and not at all appropriate comment on my part. My apologies to anyone who feels affected. Let's put violence aside, and leave a good world for people to grow free.

Pugilato responded,

I accept your apology, Jaime.

I defend freedom of expression in the same way that I defend the right to respond.

I do not wish you any harm and I hope this helps others understand that children are sacred.

All the best.

Oh my gosh!

Civility between two extremists?

In this day and age?

I'm not going to go overboard and say that I have hope for the future because of what happened here.

These two men are both selling failed totalitarian experiments that resulted in the deaths of millions, but the ability to repent and forgive as demonstrated here can be where hope for the future begins.

And that's worth relating the story.

But please, for the love of all that's good in the world, leave the kids out of it.
