Last year, Puck News told us there were some disagreements between Colin Kaepernick and Spike Lee on which direction to take in an upcoming ESPN docuseries concerning Kaepernick's 2016 kneeling fest.
And now we have this:

From the Reuters:
'ESPN, Colin Kaepernick and Spike Lee have collectively decided to no longer proceed with this project as a result of certain creative differences,' ESPN said in a statement to Reuters on Saturday.
'Despite not reaching finality, we appreciate all the hard work and collaboration that went into this film.'

In one sense, it's great that this is not going to be released. On the other hand, this docuseries could've potentially given us some comedy gold not seen since Kaepernick's Netflix documentary.
No, that was not a Babylon Bee sketch!
🤣🤣🤣
And unfortunately we won't get any content like this out of Kap and Spike Lee in their now-canceled docuseries.
