Stephen Colbert On Rising Oil Prices: "A Clean Conscience Is Worth A Buck Or Two ... I'll Pay $15 A Gallon Because I Drive A Tesla"
· Mar 8, 2022 · NottheBee.com

Elite, out-of-touch, and incredibly unfunny late-night comedy host, Stephen Colbert, went on his show Monday night and gave a monologue on rising gas prices that was incredibly bad.

Watch:

Apart from being preachy and not funny, Colbert is also insulting to a majority of Americans when he gives this self-righteous speech.

He makes a decent point about buying oil from the "good guys" in Saudia Arabia. Although, he doesn't seem to understand that this could be avoided by buying oil from the good guys in America.

But here's where his liberal elitism really starts to show.

Today, the average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4/gallon. OK, that stings, but a clean conscience is worth a buck or two. It's important. I'm willing to pay $4/gallon. Hell, I'll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla.

Oh good, I'm glad you don't care if we have apocalyptic level gas prices, Stephen. It's so nice to know that that's a price YOU are willing to pay.

Colbert must have been listening to Mayor Pete:

No one outside of your rich, elite world drives Teslas, Colbert!

And it's not just a couple of dollars. It's one of the most expensive bills for most families in the United States DOUBLING or TRIPLING in a short period of time while inflation increases and their money is worth less than ever.

It's a big flipping deal.

But I'm glad Colbert and the trained seals in his audience can laugh about it.

Colbert just doesn't get it.

This is a slap in the face to most Americans.
