Tennessee is suing the Biden administration for routing millions of federal family-planning dollars to Planned Parenthood

According to this lawsuit, it looks like the "adults" in DC are withholding Title X family-planning dollars because Tennessee won't let parents kill their kids!

No, really:

Tennessee's top legal chief says the federal government is wrongly withholding millions of dollars in family planning funds after the state refused to comply with federal rules requiring clinics to provide abortion referrals due to its current ban on the procedure.

Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti filed a complaint in U.S. District Court in Knoxville earlier this week seeking to overturn the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services decision.

The attorney general's lawsuit claims that the Biden administration yanked its federal Title X family planning dollars when the state said it would not use them to refer to abortions. The White House claimed, hilariously, that the policy was "not in the best interest of the government."

That kind of legal justification can only be met with one reaction:

Naturally, Tennessee appealed that decision; the appeal is ongoing, but in the meantime, HHS is taking the money that was supposed to go to Tennessee and instead sending that cash straight to Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood is then, in theory, supposed to distribute that money to their abortion mills across the state of Tennessee.

That's what we call "patronage." I think that might be illegal. If nothing else it's desperately, repulsively slimy.

State AG Skrmetti is "suing to stop the federal government from playing politics with the health of Tennessee women," he said this week.

(That's putting it politely.)
