Terrifying! These folks at a Portland amusement park were trapped upside down on a ride for 30 minutes before they had to be rescued by the fire department

Portland often fuels my nightmares, but you'd think something like an amusement park with fun rides could cheer you up, right?

Nope. Now I'm scared to ever get on one of these amusement park rides ever again.

Nearly thirty people were stuck for about half an hour. They had to close the park. And vacate it. Then the fire department came to rescue the stuck guests.

The Portland Fire Department worked with the park to manually lower the machine and they posted a few pics after the disaster.

Daniel Allen, who was on the ride when it stopped, told CNN affiliate KATU that the restriction of the harness on his chest made it difficult for him to breathe because he has asthma.

'I was crying, not of joy, not of anything, I was just crying. I was more happy, I was alive. I don't think I've ever appreciated my life more,' Allen said.

I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT ON ONE OF THESE RIDES AGAIN!
How horrifying!

Everyone turned out okay, thankfully. No major injuries. One person was taken to the hospital, but they were released by the medics, so they're okay too.

This happened on the OPENING DAY for the park this year. The ride has been in operation for 3 years and never had issues before Friday.

The first part of this video shows the moment they got stuck.

Here's one more angle.

Y'all could not PAY me to get on this thing!
