What in the actual heck is going on here?

Police in Texas are investigating a half-dozen cows that were found dead under extremely bizarre circumstances. According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, the 6 different cows from 6 different herds were each found dead along the highway and had their tongues completely and expertly removed, with no blood spill or signs of struggle to be found.

A straight, clean cut, with apparent precision, had been made to remove the hide around the cow's mouth on one side, leaving the meat under the removed hide untouched. The tongue was also completely removed from the body with no blood spill.

Furthermore, 2 of the 6 cows also had their anus and genitals removed with the same "precision cuts."

On two of the cows, a circular cut was made removing the anus and the external genitalia. This circular cut was made with the same precision as the cuts noted around the jaw lines of each cow.

Even more bizarrely, no predators or birds would scavenge the remains of the dead cows, leaving them to decay untouched for several weeks.

In each case, no tire tracks or footprints were found, and the grass and ground near the dead cattle were undisturbed. Police have not been able to determine a cause of death for any of them.

I just ... WHAT?? This is horror movie stuff. On top of the disturbingly precise mutilation, no meat-eating animals or scavengers would eat the remains of the dead cows? What on earth could cause that to happen?
