An autopsy has confirmed that 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was brutally raped for two hours before being murdered, allegedly by two Venezuelan illegals. Both of the men had been caught and released at the border earlier this year.
Because of Jocelyn's young age, the two men are now eligible for the death penalty. Texas Governor Greg Abbott was quick to publicly call for the death penalty on his X account:
The two men, now held on $10 million bail, allegedly lured Jocelyn under a bridge on the night of June 16, where they sexually assaulted, strangled her, and dumped her body in the creek. Someone saw her body floating in the creek at 7 a.m. the next morning.
More from ABC13:
Jocelyn Nungaray, the 12-year-old girl whose body was found in a creek in north Houston in June, appears to have been sexually assaulted, according to test results from the Houston Forensic Science Center.
City sources told ABC13's Courtney Fischer the district attorney's office received the results from HFSC on Sunday.
Johan Jose Martinez Rangel, 22, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, are charged with capital murder in Jocelyn's death. The girl was strangled.
In a heartbreaking appearance on Hannity, Jocelyn's mother called for justice:
My opinion? Hanging is too merciful for the monsters who did this.
