Cool, but don't let this distract you from the all-Muslim city being built in Texas.
The Muslim Brotherhood is the social front for a number of militant jihadi groups around the world. CAIR, meanwhile, serves as a lobbying group on Capitol Hill despite U.S. federal investigations, court documents, and internal FBI memos showing financial connections to terror group Hamas.
As the governor's proclamation says,
WHEREAS, CAIR was named an 'unindicted co-conspirator' in one of the largest successful prosecutions of terrorism financing in United States history, where internal documents plainly identified CAIR as a subsidiary of the Muslim Brotherhood and a federal court eventually found 'ample evidence to establish' that CAIR was associated 'with Hamas,' United States v. Holy Land Found. for Relief & Dev., No. 3:04-cv-240, 2009 WL 10680203, at *7-8 (N.D. Tex. July 1, 2009); and
WHEREAS, CAIR and its members have repeatedly employed, affiliated with, and supported individuals promoting terrorism-related activities...
Consider CAIR's former director for the state of Kentucky, who went viral this year while calling for the death of Jews in New York City:

The Biden admin, however, assigned CAIR to be part of its efforts to ... fight antisemitism (because of course).
This week, Not the Bee reported on the staggering rise in mosques across Texas, as well as the United States, in the past few years. The mayor of Houston just celebrated the opening of his city's newest mosque earlier this month.
Many saw Abbott's announcement as a public relations stunt that looks good but has no real impact on stopping the rise of Islam across the state:
