The AP would like you to know that ONLY 18% of NFL head coaches hired over the past 25 years have been black

Feb 10, 2025

Nothing brightens up a leftist's day quite like racism.

So as Super Bowl LIX approached, the Associated Press decided to get out there and find the racism within the NFL so you could have your buzz killed on Super Bowl weekend.

Yup, you heard it here first, folks - unless you're one of the seven people who follow the AP - racism is running rampant in the NFL, where more than 50% of the league's players are black but only six of the league's 32 head coaches (18.75%) are black, compared to 13% of the American public that is black.

What's more, eleven teams have never even had a black head coach!

This was a huge deal to just over a third of the 65+ black players the AP interviewed.

Yes, a full third of black players who spoke to the AP think this is a serious issue!

So as the NFL continues its DEI initiatives, unlike most businesses in Trump's new America, we can only expect more teams to randomly hire black head coaches even when other candidates for the job are more qualified.

I'm all for hiring black coaches. But to do it just because they're black is sort of condescending.

I would like to point out before I go that every single cornerback in the NFL was black during the 2024 season. In 2025, Cooper DeJean, a white guy, came along and broke the glass ceiling without having to rely on DEI hiring practices.
