It seems like Nathan's forgives, but I'm not sure the fans will forget.

Last year, competitive eating's Michael Jordan - for the first time in years -missed the 4th of July Nathan's hotdog eating contest because of the treacherous decision to endorse a vegan dog.

But it looks like the sport just couldn't move on from Joey. The world wasn't ready. So he's back.

Major League Eating and Chestnut made the announcement on Monday morning, a little less than a week after The Post confirmed the two sides had been in negotiations to have the biggest name in the sport return to one of its most prestigious events.

Here's the statement direct from Joey Jaws himself:

Yeah, unfortunately Joey is still promoting "plant-based" (read: disgusting imitation) meat, but at least he's not gone full vegan and he'll still be scarfing the all-beef franks from Nathan's this July 4.

And as much as I want to hold a grudge, Joey is simply the best. And I can't wait for the return of the king.
