Lucky for me, the only time I'm ever tempted to swing by the Krispy Kreme is when I see that "Hot Donuts" sign illuminated. Nothing quite beats that soft warm deliciousness.

National Donut Day is this Friday, June 3rd, and as usual, Krispy Kreme is giving away one free donut of your choice to celebrate.

But this year, they've really upped their game by offering one free Original Glazed donut hot off the conveyer belt any day between now and Labor Day (September 5th). That's 96 free donuts that you can indulge in.

And did you know that you can see what the Hot Light hours are on the Krispy Kreme website? I always thought grabbing a hot Krispy Kreme was an impulsive thing to do, but now I can literally schedule my life around it. This information might be too dangerous for me to know.

But now I've told you, so we can all get fat together this summer.

Not only can you enjoy that 190 calories of warm sugary goodness each day, but on Wednesdays this summer you can also buy a dozen donuts for whatever the current price is for a gallon of gas (currently averaging $4.62, but as the summer goes on, I'm sure Krispy Kreme will be making bank per dozen sold).

Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release:

We hope to brighten everyone's day, every day, this summer with our Sweet New Deal, whether it's stopping by to grab a free hot, fresh Original Glazed doughnut for yourself or picking up a dozen on Wednesdays for the same price as a gallon of gas.

You may be hemorrhaging money on gas, groceries, and every other necessity in life, but at least Krispy Kreme has your back.

Although... you may end up spending more money on doctor's visits and exercise equipment.
