Okay, I get that Biden doesn't want to acknowledge that there are any Democrats running against him for the presidency. But the way his administration is treating rival Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is despicable.
RFK Jr. posted on Twitter that the Biden admin has consistently denied his request for Secret Service protection, a standard courtesy to presidential candidates because they don't take RFK's safety seriously.
Since the assassination of my father in 1968, candidates for president are provided Secret Service protection. But not me.
Typical turnaround time for pro forma protection requests from presidential candidates is 14-days. After 88-days of no response and after several follow-ups by our campaign, the Biden Administration just denied our request. Secretary Mayorkas: "I have determined that Secret Service protection for Robert F Kennedy Jr is not warranted at this time." Please forgive the man whose father was assassinated while campaigning to replace the incumbent Democrat president for fearing the exact same fate.
What kind of selfish and cruel person is Biden? Mayorkas actions here, as well as pretty much all his other public actions, are shameful.
It's not like the Secret Service is busy. It's not like they're tied up in a White House cocaine "investigation."
The squad that would guard RFK Jr. is probably too busy shuttling Hunter Biden around.
What the Biden admin is doing to Kennedy is despicable.
They are intentionally putting his life at risk at this point. And why? Because he's running against Joe as a Democrat?
